Arguably the most colourful bird in the world — now carved in wood. This Gouldian Finch clip-on ornament is individually hand-carved from premium basswood and hand-painted with acrylic paints to capture one of nature's most extraordinary colour combinations: a vivid grass-green back, brilliant turquoise-blue nape band, rich purple-violet breast, and bold yellow belly — a palette so intense it appears almost painted by hand. Available in all three naturally occurring head colour morphs: Black-headed (the most common, approximately 70% of wild birds), Red-headed (rarer, approximately 30%), and Orange-headed (the rarest of all, less than 1% of wild birds) — each a genuine genetic variant of this extraordinary Australian finch.

Named after Elizabeth Gould, wife of renowned ornithologist John Gould, and native to the tropical savannahs of northern Australia, the Gouldian Finch — also known as the Lady Gouldian Finch or Rainbow Finch — is one of the most beloved birds in aviculture worldwide and a prized sighting in the wild.
